Obituary of Marlene Steacy
Passed away at the Brockville General Hospital on Monday October 16, 2023. Marlene was born in Brockville. When she was 55, she joined the Lansdowne Fire Ladies Auxiliary. Much loved mother of Kenneth (Donna), Thomas (Kim) and Percy (Wanda). Treasured grandmother of Justin Steacy, Jamie Spirak, Ashley, Heather, Sam and Lu-Ann. Cherished sister of Karen Wheeler (and the late Ron), Margaret Graczol, Garry Prue (Velma). Dearly missed by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her extended family Kathie (the late Andy) Graham and their daughter Katherine Graham. She spent 30 years with this family and their beloved pets. Marlene is predeceased by her husband Kenneth R. Steacy, parents Percy and Jennie Prue (nee Fox), sister Gwen Turner and a niece JoAnn Davison.
A Graveside service will be held on October 28th, 2023 at 1:00pm at Union Cemetery, Lansdowne. A Celebration of Life for Marlene will take place at the Mallorytown Legion on November 4th, 2023 from 1 – 4pm. In memory of Marlene donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the BDHF Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
