NAHRGANG, John “Dana” (Owner of Nahrgang Collision)
Peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, October 16, 2023 in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Kim (nee Bowler) for 19 years. Loving father of Jacinda Nahrgang (Steve), Shane Nahrgang (Erin), Whitney Hawley (Tyler) and R.J. Nahrgang (Alexandria). Cherished grandfather of Landon, Sadie, Lincoln, and Spencer. Survived by and cherished by his mother Margaret McMillan. Dear brother of Kris Nahrgang, Eric Nahrgang (Teresa), and Lans Nahrgang (Jayne). Predeceased by his father John Nahrgang. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and close friends.
Dana was a proud family man and always put his family and others before himself. Dana was a coach and mentor to so many kids over his multiple years involved in hockey and soccer. Dana dedicated a large part of his life to the soccer community in Peterborough, facilitating leagues, helping to build the clubhouse at Eastgate park, as the President of East Central Ontario Soccer and was a respected board member of the Ontario Soccer Association.
Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Celebration of Life will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Reception to follow. In memory of Dana, donations to the PRHC Palliative Care Unit and/or the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
