Larry Grant Mackenzie of Kitchener passed away at Forest Heights LTC, Kitchener on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in his 80th year.
Father of Adam Mackenzie and Ashley O’Brien, and Kelly Mackenzie and Brian Alexander. Remembered by their mother Isabelle (Brown) Mackenzie, his grandson Keiran Alexander, and by Ashley’s children Liam and Ariana.
Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
Larry was born in Palmerston on October 8, 1944 to the late Earl & Marguerite (Searle) Mackenzie. He worked with Bell Canada until his retirement. Larry was a member of the Waterloo County Revolver Association and had been a reservist with the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery. He loved his Blues music, attending Blues festivals, and Kitchener’s downtown cruise nights.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
