Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Shereen Helen (Harley) Cameron which occurred on Saturday, October 14th, 2023. Born May 6th, 1944, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Ronald and Helen (Nickerson) Harley.
Shereen worked in the Sobeys bakery as well as other departments for over 30 years. She was a volunteer at the Glen Falls Resource Centre, as well as the Family Resource Centre in the South End. Faith was very important to her. Shereen’s boys were her life, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Each grandchild had a goal to grow taller than her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Shereen is survived by her loving and devoted husband Carl of 56 years; sons Carl Cameron and Blaine Cameron (Tara) of Saint John and Christopher Cameron (Karrie) of Baxter’s Corner; brothers Blaine Harley (Darlene) of Saint John, and Tony Harley (Anne) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Corey, Christian, Riley, Emma, Kaden, and Peyton; great grandchildren Charlie and Lexi; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Shereen was predeceased by her brother Ronald.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 18th at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens cemetery. Donations in memory of Shereen may be made to the cancer society or heart and stroke foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
