Obituary of Kenneth Gerard Walsh
After a courageous battle with cancer the death occurred Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax NS of Kenneth G. Walsh of Elliotvale PE, age 71 years with family by his side. Kenneth “Kenny” is survived by his sisters Anne Smith, Marie (Jim) McManus and Cecilia MacGillivray and his brother George (Linda) Walsh; his sisters-in-law Hilda and Heather and brothers-in-law David and Donnie. Survived by nephews and nieces Jamie and Robin Gill, Tracy and Nick MacGillivray, Kelley Laflamme and Tommy and Kristina Walsh. Kenny was predeceased by his wife Anne (MacLeod) Walsh; his parents Gerald and Frances (Dunn) Walsh; father-in-law and mother-in-law Malcolm and Hilda MacLeod and brothers-in-law Edward Gill and John MacGillivray as well as two infant siblings. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home Stratford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 10 am from St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River. No visiting hours by personal request. A private family interment will take place in Valleyfield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made online to the PEI Humane Society.
