Marion Lorraine (Cline) Carswell, fondly known as Ma, passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 9, 2023 at Muskoka Landing in Huntsville Ontario.
Marion was born on March 9, 1935 in New Liskeard, Ontario to Ernest and Marjorie Cline.
Marion married the love of her life, John Allan Carswell, on September 1, 1956. Together they raised two wonderful daughters.
Jack and Marion lived in various places places in Ontario as Dad worked for the MNR and was transferred regularly. They landed in Huntsville in 1973 and remained here for the rest of their lives.
Marion spent many years working for Florence’s Flowers. Her many hobbies included travelling, golf, bowling, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and shopping. She was an expert scrabble player, bridge player, knitter and seamstress. Marion received her 40 years of service plaque with the Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary in 2013. She wore many hats as a volunteer and made many lifelong friends. Family and friends were extremely important to Marion. She was affectionately know as Ma.
Marion is survived by her two daughters; Lynda (Tim) Wood and Janice (Kevin) Snowden. Also survived by sisters Marjorie Lewis and Betty Stewart.
Grandmother to Andrew (Samantha), Jordan (Matt) and Mitchell (Matt).
Great Grandmother to Elliot and Ruby. Marion is predeceased by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Service and reception will take place at Trinity United Church, 33 Main Street, Huntsville, Ontario on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
