Marie Keziah Blagdon
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Blagdon at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Connaigre Pennisula Health Care Centre.
Marie was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a very active community member involved in her church, ACW and Lioness/Lion’s Club. She was an avid knitter for Yarn Point Crafts and went to craft shows selling the sweaters that they knitted. She was knitting for Winterhouses right up until she went into the hospital for Paula Cornec of Beavercrafts, Stephenville, NL. Her Christmas stockings she loved to knit were in demand from all over the province. She enjoyed her night of bingo and was always up for a good game of cards which she enjoyed doing with a special group of friends.
Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 55 years, Thomas and three children; Daniel Blagdon at Mt. Pisgah, NB; Sheila Keeping (Peter) at English Harbour West and Tina Fiander (Robert) at Foxtrap, CBS. Her siblings Edna Strowbridge at Portugal Cove – St. Phillips; Diane Spencer (Allan) at Boxey and Barry Blagdon (Tina) at Burin. Her sister-in-law Marie Warren at Fox Roost and brother-in-law Lloyd Blagdon (Anna) at Halifax, NS. Her precious grandchildren Caitlin, Peter, Courtney, Haley and Thomas as well as her great grandchildren Mackenzie, Oliver and Watson. Also left to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents James H and Sarah A Blagdon; mother and father-in-law Bertrum and Leah Blagdon; sisters-in-law Jane Warren and Ada Blagdon; brothers-in-law Garfield Strowbridge , Leslie and John Warren; and great granddaughter Brooklyn Ann Lawlor.
The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and Dr. Price at the Connaigre Penninsula Health Care Centre for their excellent care while she was a patient there.
Cremation to take place and funeral service to be announced.
