It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, wife, sister, cousin, and friend, Olivia Rowena Lefthand. She was surrounded by her loving husband, daughter, parents, siblings, and family.
Olivia was born in Calgary, Alberta. Olivia attended school in Longview, Eden Valley, and Oilfields High School. Olivia enjoyed spending time with her daughter, husband, and family. Olivia had a special relationship with her aunty Debbie that she called her auntie mom. Once Olivia became a mother she was so happy and excited. Olivia and her husband would take baby Harlow for walks and trips to the park together. Olivia was so protective of her baby girl that she wasn’t going to place her daughter in daycare. She loved being an extra on the TV series, Heartland, and another series.
Olivia will be lovingly remembered by her common law husband, Larren Daniels; daughter Harlow; parents Oliver Lefthand and Wanda Poor Eagle; her siblings Oliver Jr., Jennifer (Blair), Chris and Tyrone; her Mother-in-law, PJ (Frank); and her nieces and nephews, whom she loved and cherished, Justin, Hope, Jacob, Virgil, Joey, and Lennox.
She is also survived by her maternal great aunts and uncles, Joan (Lawrence), Betty, Douglas (Deberly), and Bernard Bearshirt; her paternal aunt, Marla Lefthand; Maternal uncle, Everett (Esther); Maternal aunts Debbie Dixon and Karen (Lorne) Rider; Paternal cousins Clarke, Trevor, Geraldine, Simone, Wyona, Farrahlynn, Camille, Bridget, Darcy, Chason, and Danielle; Maternal cousins Fawna (Mike), Fiona, Darrell (Kirsten), Nikki (Darcy), Tuff, Lorrie (Laramie), Lorne Jr, Timone (Carly), Ross (Lacey), and Cheyenne; her special friends, Libby Llewellyn and Mariah; as well as numerous relatives from Eden Valley, Morley, and Siksika. The family apologizes if we missed anyone.
Olivia was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Stewart Dixon and Alice Lefthand; maternal great grandparents Joe and Beatrice Poor Eagle; maternal grandparents Ross and Nellie Poor Eagle; paternal uncles Larry lefthand, Roderick Lefthand, and Eugene Lefthand; paternal aunts Heather Lefthand, Louisianna Lefthand, Rowena, Sherina, and Evelina Lefthand; maternal aunts Linda and Josephine Poor Eagle; her siblings Kyle and Brandon Lefthand (Poor Eagle); Her paternal cousin Lena Lefthand; niece Aleanna Ear; and nephew Guy Daniels.
The family would like to thank Oilfields emergency services for their help.
Wake services will be held at her dad’s residence in Eden Valley, AB, on Wednesday and Thursday with funeral services to be held on Friday at the Chief Jacob Bearspaw School’s, Bear Den, at 1 PM. Interment will be held at the Eden Valley Cemetery.
