Age 45, of Waverley, died Friday September 8, 2023.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. H. G. Grassby. He is survived by his mother, Mary Grassby-Clarke, his sister Kimberlea Clarke, nephew Nicholas Clarke and aunts Gail (Grassby) Nathanson and Joslyn Grassby.
Chuck was born April 16, 1978. He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School and continued his studies in auto mechanics and industrial aircraft at NSCC. He also received his private pilot licence through the Shearwater Flying Club. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman always enjoying camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, etc. He was a skilled tradesman in auto mechanics, industrial aircraft, and survival skills. Chuck enjoyed photography as it helped preserve memories of people, places, and things he loved. He had a passion for history and enjoyed his time volunteering at the Waverly Heritage Museum and his volunteering in the community. The guitar was the instrument he loved to play, especially when gathered with friends or around a campfire.
He will be missed by those most dear to him, who knew his kind heart.
A private burial has already taken place.
