MALLET, Cecilia Marie
Our family wishes to announce the passing of Cecilia Marie Mallet, which occurred on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born 1951, in Patterson Siding, NB, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Elisabeth (Doiron) Mallet.
Some of Cecilia’s favorite things were Jellybeans, Juicy Fruit Gum, pudding, strawberry cheesecake and coffee… lots of coffee. She shared a passion for music, especially ‘wangy tang’ and a love for a glass of wine, here and there.
Cecilia especially loved to read and to spend time at the beach. Above all, she loved her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.
Cecilia is survived by her son Stephen (I love you more) (You wanna go there… right back at ya!); daughter Nicole Courtice (You are my sunshine) and her husband Gary along with her grandchildren (A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck); Courtney (Matthew) and James (Jessica), great grandchildren; Hazel-Mae and Benjamin.
Also survived by her siblings; Omer (Hazel) Mallet, Coby Allain, Norma Mollins (Jim), Jeannine Malley, Yvette Stabile (Tom), Theresa Malley and Brenda Bacon (Steve). She is also survived by her sister in-law Carmella Malley, brother in-law Roger Richard and 38 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cecilia is predeceased by her siblings; Edgar (Dot), Leonard, Louis, Clarence, Muriel Morisette (Marcel) and Mary Louise Richard.
We wish to thank all our family who helped her and us through this journey. You are amazing and we love you. There are not enough words to say.
Also, thank you to the staff and volunteers of Bobby’s Hospice for giving our loved one’s dignity and peace, and to everyone in our community who donates to keep this palliative care organization going.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Cecilia’s wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held at this time.
Memorial donations towards Bobby’s Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
