Beloved son of Norma Meehan. Predeceased by his father, James Cornelius Meehan. Dear brother of Steve (Elizabeth), Margaret (Randy) and best friend as well as brother to Michael. Uncle to Mark, Nicole and Victoria.
“Howdy”, was what he always said when he got to your house.
Tom loved to fish and he loved spending time at the trailer with his family. He loved all sorts of animals. Throughout his life he kept pet turtles, fish, piranhas, a leopard gecko, a rabbit, hamsters, gerbils and most recently cats.
He excelled in school in baking and it became his career. He was very talented and brought home many beautifully baked treats to share. He prided himself in owning his own boat and his 1988 GMC truck. He was dedicated to both his brother Mike and his mother Norma in the last years of his life. Tom will be dearly missed by all his family near and far.
Tom’s life ended too soon at only 57 years old. An innocent victim of the cruel Alzheimer’s disease.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held for Thomas at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Saturday September 30, 2023 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.

A tree will be planted in memory of Thomas in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. Our 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
