It is with sadness the family of Ross Gordon Winter announces his passing on September 19th, 2023, at the age of 73. Ross is predeceased by his parents Frank and Eileen (nee Richardson) Winter. Ross is survived by his brothers Ronald Winter (Sharon Livingston). Ross is predeceased by his sister-in-law Gail Winter. Ross was the uncle to Duane Winter (Kristi Levere), Darryl (Lisa) Winter, Curt Winter (Tara Kaldeway), and Kyle Winter. He was a great-uncle to 4 nieces and 1 nephew, and he was also a great-great uncle to one nephew.
Ross was a lifelong farmer. He started showing cattle in 4H as a teenager and raised cattle and cash crops with his dad the rest of his life. He had some quality purebred Simmental cattle for many years. Ross always enjoyed going to a farm auction, cattle auction, or cattle show, as far away as Alberta. He resided on the farm where his father was born his whole life. Ross did enjoy watching a Blue Jays or Maple Leaf’s game in his spare time. Ross will truly be missed by all that knew him.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the caring staff at Four Counties Hospital in Newbury, the community support and neighbors who helped Ross when he needed it.
