Teodoro Nicolas Logronio Jr. entered into eternal rest September 11, 2023. His untimely passing has brought his family sorrow but they are comforted knowing he is resting peacefully and reunited with his parents, Caridad and Teodoro Sr., brother Lionel Sr., niece Lorelei, and grand dog Tyrion.
Fondly known as Logie to his wife of 48 years, Maria Perpetua (nee Javier). Beloved Papa to Jennifer “Pearl” (Russell Robinson), Leilani “Li-Li” (Ken Acton), and Teodoro “Teddy” (Macey nee Barnet). Proud and loving grandpa to Aiyana, Rylie, Callum, Owen, and Kai who he cherished with all affection. “Boy” to Linda (late Gunther Neumann) of Germany; Luzminda, Leonida and Luisa of Toronto; Leonardo (Jocelyn) of the Philippines; and Lorenz (Doris) of Germany. Blessed Tito to Lionel Jr., Dennis (Laura), Ardie (Sarah), Jan-Philipp, and Luis. Kuya and brother-in-law to nine Javier siblings.
Born on March 25, 1953 in Bacon, Sorsogon, Philippines, fifth child of seven. Graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Don Bosco Technical School in Mandaluyong, and proud member of the football (soccer) team. In 1977, he immigrated to Canada and joined his eldest brother “Manoy” in Windsor, Ontario to open up new opportunities. Later that year, bringing his family to settle and start a life in Canada. And thanks to his sacrifices, selflessness and support, he provided extended family with the same possibilities.
With good fortune he obtained an electrical apprenticeship from General Motors Transmission where he retired as a Unifor Local 1973 member in 2009. Throughout his life, he enjoyed camping in Ontario’s great north, scuba diving, playing basketball, reading, traveling, cooking and eating. Ted was also very active in the soccer community and left an impression, as a former president of the Es County Soccer Referee Association, Windsor Soccer Club coach and avid spectator. He shared his passion and love for soccer with his children and grandchildren, along with instilling his great work ethic and the idea to fully commit to whatever you do. Ted “Logie” will forever be remembered for his humour and kindness among friends, and by his family, affectionately memorialized for his stubbornness and sarcasm but especially for his love, care and devotion.
May he be granted eternal rest, and the Lord’s perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in peace.
Sincere thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at the Windsor Regional Hospital – Metropolitan Campus and Ouellette Campus, and Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Rehab for their care during his hospitalization. The family would also like to thank the nurses, physiotherapists and personal support workers for his home care support. And to the first responders – paramedics, fire and police for their service, especially for their upmost professionalism and compassion throughout a very difficult time.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, September 24th, 2pm to 4pm and 5pm to 7pm at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E, (Windsor, Ontario, Canada). Followed by a funeral service on Monday, September 25th, 11am at Windsor Chapel preceded by a visitation at 10am. There will be a live stream of the service available to friends and family around the world who are unable to attend in-person. Cremation to follow.
