MONTELEONE, Joseph ‘Joe’ – Passed away peacefully at the Eventide Home on Monday September 11, 2023 at the age of 100. Beloved and devoted husband of 75 years to Eileen (nee Vigna). Loving father of Frank (Loretta) Monteleone, Dave Monteleone (Lise Di Censo), Nancy (Gary) Kuusela and Mary Monteleone (Bob Armstrong). Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth (Kelvin) Fung, Karen Montgomery, Michael (Carmela) Monteleone, Joanne Monteleone (Kenny Schram), Ryan (Stephanie) Monteleone, Danielle Kuusela (Luciano Puglisi), Christopher Kuusela (Cindy Liang) and great-grandfather to 10. Joe achieved 100 years of a great life because he lived it to the fullest. He was devoted to his wife and children, a great friend and a tireless volunteer. He enjoyed his Sunday family dinners, bowling and playing Yahtzee – rather, winning at Yahtzee. He was a member of the fourth degree Knights of Columbus (Hennepin Council 1652) and an active member of St. Thomas More Church. By trade, he was a carpenter and always available to lend a hand to anyone. He would always tell his children as they were leaving the house, ‘watch yourself’. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Monday September 18, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held at 3 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday September 19, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
