GARANT, Emilien ‘Bay’ – It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Emile on Friday September 1, 2023. Deeply loved by his wife of 37 years Joanne, his sons Terry, Randy (Deb), Shane (Melanie) and granddaughter Ivy. Survived by his sister Helene, brother Lucien, sisters-in-law Ellen Kamensky, Candace Keetch, brother-in-law Renaud Turcotte. Uncle Emile will be greatly missed by niece Susan (Peter) and the boys Georgios and Loukas, nephew David (Josie) and the twins Genevieve and Vienna, as well as life-long friends Ron and Janet Murray of New Brunswick and Helen and Wayne Heimbecker of Waterford. Uncle ‘Bay’ will be missed by many other nieces and nephews in the Niagara area, as well as the east coast. Predeceased by sisters Jeannine, Lorraine, Suzanne, Isabelle, Lucille and brother Jean-Guy. Emile worked at General Motors for 32 years in material handling, retiring in 1992. In retirement, he enjoyed doing renovations with ‘best’ buddy Ron, wood-turning and most of all, family gatherings. Words cannot describe the loss we feel in our families. A good, kind and patient man has been taken from us. Our hearts are broken. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday September 15, 2023 from 11 am to 12 pm.
