With heartfelt sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Bruce Stephen Watson on Monday, August 28, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamiton in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Ann. Dearly loved father of Laura (Scott) and proud grandfather of Mac and Mayson. Survived by his mother Fran; his brother Don (Eleanor), and his nephews Kyle and Travis. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (1997) and his father Ivan (2014).
Bruce worked with road maintenance for the MTO. He was very involved with his community and volunteered over many years with Strabane Optimist Club, Strabane Cemetery Board and the Strabane Parks Board. He was a ‘retired’ Stinger with the Strabane Slo-pitch league and will be forever remembered as Cinci.
Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 1 – 4 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Strabane Cemetery. If desired, donations to any local community group would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
