Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Russell Augustus Vincent announce his peaceful passing on Monday, August 28th, 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in his 80th year, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his wife of 58 years: Mary Vincent (nee. Boland); five children: Joanne Gallant (John), Judy Park (Dean), Tammy Kervian (Ken), Michael Vincent (Amanda), and Adam Vincent (Megan Payne); 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Roland Vincent (Ann), and Donald Vincent (Ann); and brother-in-law: John Boland; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Russell is predeceased by his parents: Augustus and Veronica Vincent; four brothers; five sisters; mother-in-law: Maude Boland-Dormody; father-in-law: John Boland; brother-in-law: Thomas Boland; and sister-in-law: Eileen Vincent.
At Russell’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, August 31st, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from 1-2 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Bishop John Correveau officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Russell’s memory to the Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Canadian Diabetes Foundation (www.diabetes.ca/), or the Canadian Autism Society (autismcanada.org/).
