Olive Shirley Norma Swyer

October 23, 1964 – August 27, 2023
It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Olive Shirley Norma Swyer at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Sunday 27th August 2023 at the age of 58 years.
Olive was predeceased by her husband Anthony Lomond, their son Norman Charles Swyer, her parents Olive and Roy Swyer and her beloved cat Boots.
She leaves to mourn, her loving partner Brian LaSaga, sister Josephine, brothers Jerry, Norman, and Roy (Patricia) as well as a large circle of extended family, nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Olive was a very kindhearted, giving and compassionate person. Her immense love for cats was infectious and immeasurable. The sparkle in her eyes and her smile could light up a room; our hearts are broken but we know that she’s now at Peace.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday 31st August 2023 from 1:30-3:30 pm at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL, followed by interment at the Anglican Cemetery in St. George’s, NL.
As Olive loved animals, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Olive’s memory to the animal shelter SCAPA in Stephenville, NL.
