Obituary
On Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the age of 82, Helen passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Predeceased by her mother, Gladys McKay and her husband, Johnny Jansen. She was also predeceased by her father, Alexander McKay and her first husband, Gerry Boudreau.
She is survived and missed dearly by her son, Bill Boudreau and daughter, Sandy Morrison. There is no one she adored more than her Grandsons, Eric (Brittany) Morrison and Alex Morrison and her Great Grandson, who brought her pure joy each and every visit, Logan Morrison. Heartbroken are her siblings, Gary (Lois), Linda (Wray), Janet (Paul), Margaret (John-deceased), Philip (Audra), Karen (Jonatan), and many nieces, nephews, friends and their families.
Helen graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1962, and spent her career at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a dedicated operating room nurse.
Helen was a very passionate sports fan, and especially loved The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. She barely ever missed a game or gave up hope for ‘next year’. We are going to miss this lady each and every day, but love like that is carried with you, and we thank her for that. Thank you to every single person who participated in this journey, to those special ones, you know who you are. Friendships like that and moments shared are rare, cherished, and produce acts of kindness that will never be forgotten.
Friends may visit with Helen’s family on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown.
