Obituary of Dr. Peter Joseph Healy
On Monday, August 14th, 2023, in his home in the presence of his son, Dr. Peter Joseph Healy, PhD, formerly CSsR, passed away in his 87th year. Cherished father to Kevin, husband to Mary, father-in-law to Emma Dolan. Loved brother of Teresa Coupland, Don and Wendy Healy, Judy and Tom Vermue, Anita Healy, Mary Jones, Bob and Mary Lou Healy, Susi Hodgins, Monica Healy, and Ed and Jan Healy. Predeceased by his parents Cecelia and Edward Healy; siblings Patricia Brown, John, Mike and Tim Healy; nephews Michael Healy and Mark Healy, and brothers-in-law John Coupland, Ron Hodgins, and Lynn Jones. He will be missed by friends and members of his beloved Healy, Bolton, Brown, Cordoba, Coupland, Dolan, Hodgins, Jones, and Vermue families. He departs this life with an undiminished love of the sea, song, wildlife, theology, conviviality and the English language.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 1:00-3:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day Friday, September 1st, 2023 at 11:00am at ALL SAINTS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
