Obituary
Bruce John Armstrong
December 23, 1930 – August 25, 2023
With heavy hearts the family of Bruce Armstrong announce his passing into his Lord’s arms on Friday, August 25th, with the love of his life, Maridel by his side.
Bruce was born in Minto to Mildred ( Mercer ) and Joseph Armstrong. Besides his parents he was predeceased by siblings: Reggie, Bennett, Walter, Mary and Dora. Bruce is survived by Maridel Green and his children: Nancy Armstrong, Paula ( Patton ), Scott Armstrong: 8 grandchildren: 11 great-grandchildren: Sisters-in-law: Myra Armstrong, Roberta ( Bunny ) Armstrong and several nieces and nephews.
Bruce worked in Minto for the Miramichi Lumber Company, Sept Isles, before settling in Saint John where he worked at Ocean Steel, K & A Equipment and for over 30 years with H & R Block. His favourite times were spent in Nature: hunting, daily picnics by the water and scenic drives exploring the Maritime provinces and New Hampshire.
Special thank you to Extramural, Doctors, Nurses and Staff of 5CS at Saint John Regional Hospital for the care they provided him, especially in his last few months.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home. There is no visitation. A private family ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army, Saint John First Wesleyan Church or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. To honour Bruce’s Memory, reach out in random acts of kindness to bless someone’s life.
