Gloria Catherine Smith, age 65, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth after a lengthy illness. Born in Corner Brook, NFLD, daughter of the late Stanley and Angela (Gabrielle) Young. Gloria is survived by her partner of 20 years Pierre Audet and remembered by her ex-husband Dale Smith. Proud mother of Rachel Bougeois. Gloria will be fondly remembered by her siblings Victoria Rose, David Rose, Joe (Barb) Rose, Janet (Jamie) McGuigan, Stanley Rose, Marian (Jamie) Sharpe, Kenny Rose, Cecil Rose, Raymond Rose, she will be in the hearts of the Audet family and her many nieces and nephews. Gloria worked for Canadian Fabricating until the factory closed, and later worked at Fosters Inn, in housekeeping. Besides her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her siblings Donna, Bobby, Reta, Claudine, Wally, Ronnie and Herbe. Friends and relatives are invited to Gloria’s visitation on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. Gloria’s funeral will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. with interment in Avondale Cemetery. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth through the funeral home. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
