HIUSER, Fredrick Eli “Fred” – passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, January 10th 2023. Born at home, in West Zorra Township, Oxford County on September 3rd 1939.
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Mary (Conley) Hiuser; his wife, Roseanne (Seebach) Hiuser; his son-in-law, Stephen Allan; his brother, Paul Hiuser; his sister-in-law, Thelma Hiuser.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Wendy Allan (Jason Kirby); his son, Jeffery “Jeff” Hiuser; his granddaughters, Stephanie Armstrong (Justin), Marissa Allan (Braedon); his great grandson, Henry Armstrong; his brothers, Carl Hiuser (Marie), John Hiuser; his sister-in-law, Donna Hiuser; his nephew, Keith Hiuser (Christel); his nieces, Angela Bast (Alex), Sandra Dolson (Rob), Paula Hiuser and Tracy Hiuser.
Raised on the family farm, on the Embro Road, Fred was the eldest of four sons and a graduate of Stratford Central Collegiate. He worked for a number of years in the offices of the former Whyte Packing Plant in Stratford, Massey Ferguson in Brantford, and later, as an agent for London Life Insurance Co. With a love for farming life, Fred spent many years in retirement selling farm produce at the Farmer’s Market in Brantford.
A time for viewing, will be held in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Wednesday, January 18th 2023 from 6 to 9 pm. Cremation to follow. A family service and interment in North Embro Cemetery will be held this coming spring.
