Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton on August 14, 2023. Beloved wife to the late Neil (2006) and cherished life partner to George. Loving Mother to Doug (Joanne), Murray (Maria), Barry (Pam), and Glen (Donna). Grandma to April, Chad (Crystal), Nicole, Ryan (Erin), Clayton (Jessica), Brittany (Johnny), Nicholas (Alana) and great grandma to Troy, Sean, Brooklyn, Clara, Olivia, Hanna, Carter, Cole, Landon, and Jacob. Betty will be missed by her extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Hazel Zimmerman and her brothers Melvin and Ross. Betty spent much of her life volunteering with the UCW, Meals on Wheels and The Red Cross.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, where a Funeral Service will take place the following day at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Carlisle United Church Cemetery. A Livestream of the Funeral Service will be made available below under “Events”.
