Garth M Sutherland, June 4, 1942 to January 13, 2023, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love with “The Jude” by his side. My Honey can now “Fly high! I will love you always and forever. Your Wings were ready but my Heart was not”.
Garth was born in Toronto to parents Archibald and Kathleen Sutherland. A printer by trade, a love of horses and a photographer by heart.
Garth will be deeply missed by Judy’s children Cheri (Edward ) Sleep, grandson Christopher Sleep and Greg Bunn. Garth will leave a void in the hearts of his extended family, Lynn (late George), Stephen (Valerie), Teresa (Ron), Patricia (Dale), Clifford (Sharon) and Mark (Andrea) and all their families.
Missing you will be your friends who faithfully visited and helped you, sat with you, shared many “milkshakes” and many outing, lots of photo outings, to you all “One big thank you”. Garth always looked forward to your visits to share photo stories, trucking stores or just any stories. A sincere thank you to everyone who became wonderful friends through this journey. His buddies Ralph and John will be waiting at the special table where you shared many a story and special lunches.
He fought a courageous battle against PSP (Progressive Supranclear Palsy) and cancer, always positive and chipper. There just isn’t enough words to thank the caring staff at The Campbell House for providing comfort and compassion at the end of Garth’s life.
