Inez Althia Stewart

Inez Althia Stewart, of Sillikers, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 89.
Born in Sillikers, she was the daughter of the late Miles Osborne and Cordelia Blanche (Dunnett) Stewart. She lived in Sillikers, at her homestead, until she moved to Halcomb in 2009. She worked at Ideal Restaurant and Jean’s Restaurant in Newcastle and attended the Presbyterian Church in Sillikers.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be greatly missed by her life long friend Albro McAllister; several nieces and nephews; and her close friends Lou and Doris Mullin, Susan Tozer, and Lisa Underhill.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Weston Stewart, Robert Stewart, and Hubert Stewart; and her sisters Merle Silliker (Late Delbert) and Annie Holmes (Late Fred Homes).
Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 2 pm until 2:45 pm. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm, at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Vaden Sutherland officiating. Interment will take place in Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery.
