VOLLMERSHAUSEN: Glenn Arnold – passed away peacefully on Friday July 28, 2023 at the Woodstock Hospital in his 79th year.
Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Junker) whom he married September 20, 1968. Dear father of Dean “Uncle Buck” of Woodstock, Marty (Amanda) of Ingersoll and Gerry & wife Kate of Woodstock. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Nathan, Abigale, Cooper, A.J., Shelby and Hailey. Survived by his sisters Betty & Linda Vollmershausen. He will be remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-laws Mary & husband Ron Kropf, Don Junker and wife Connie all of Tavistock and George Junker (July 21, 2023) and wife Brenda of Hickson and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his parents Ken & Ina (Sutherland) Vollmershausen, brother Peter, mother and father-in-law Ruth (Neeb) and Lorne Junker and sister-in-law Deb Junker.
Glenn worked at Thomas Bus from 1979-2001 and drove school bus for a number of years until retirement. Glenn was a long time Score Keeper for the Woodstock Navy Vets Jr. C Hockey Club. Glenn loved his sports but his biggest passion was watching his children and grandchildren play sports and participate in their activities.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at the St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery, 965565 Maplewood Sideroad, Tavistock on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00am. Reception and visitation will follow in the Hickson Park pavilion from 1:30-4pm. Casual dress is requested for the service and reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Woodstock Minor Hockey, the Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at www.gffh.ca
