Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce that Ricky Mahadeo passed away suddenly on January 2, 2023 in Moncton at the age of 39. Ricky is survived and deeply missed by his parents, Ron and Mary Mahadeo, partner Abbey Mahon, brother Roddy (Claudine), nieces Kayla and Chloe, many cousins including Nalenee, Zack and Greg, and his aunts, uncles, friends and relatives in Canada, Trinidad, England, and the USA. He had a caring heart and a passion for life that made him so special to the people close to him.
Ricky was raised in Brampton, Ontario and lived in Toronto before moving to Atlantic Canada. He attended Our Lady of Fatima Elementary school, Cardinal Leger High School, Sheridan College and RCC Institute of Technology. He excelled at his career and pushed himself to constantly develop his skills, while training and mentoring students and new cybersecurity experts.
Ricky was a talented hockey player and coach. He enjoyed fishing and going for walks along the water with Abbey and their dog Ruby. He had a razor-sharp wit and infectious sense of humor that was always punctuated with his playful grin. He approached challenges with curiosity and patience. Though his life was short, he lived it fully, and we are thankful for the time we had him in our lives.
To celebrate Ricky, his family will be holding two celebrations of life. The first will be held in Saint John New Brunswick on February 11, 2023, at 2pm at the Royal Kennebeccasis Yacht Club, please RSVP at www.eventcreate.com/e/rickymahadeosj The second will be held on March 4th in Ontario; location and time to be announced. Donations in memory of Ricky may be made to the Saint John SPCA or Ontario SPCA.
