It is with overwhelming sadness I have to announce we have lost one of the most generous, kindhearted, loving people this world has had offered us. Patricia Anne Lacroix-Gouveia peacefully passed Thursday July 20th approximately 08:58pm at St. Peters Hospital in Hamilton Ontario. You were a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Niece, Sister-in-law and Friend. In the last eleven months you fought a raging hard battle with this horrible disease while all most of us could do was watch helplessly. In your final hours, a raging storm had passed through that night, the skies opened shinning a great light casting a double rainbow outside your hospital bed where you laid. When you took your last breath and the rainbows faded away and skies went dark. It was then I knew you were finally at peace.
You will forever be missed by husband John Gouveia and loving children Thomas, Talix and Steven. Daughter-in-laws Lindsay Rankin and Erica Gouveia. Grand Children Harleigh, Woodson, Jarvis, Keisel, Luca and Elaena, Brother Darren and wife Natalie, Loving Auntie Anne of 91 years, Brother & sister -in-law Joe Gouveia and Beverly Orr, Niece Kaitlyn, and fiancée Zade, Nephews Conner, Callum and wife Corrin, Friends Brenda Rankin and Judy Graham and remaining extended family members.
A special thanks to the medical teams at both Juravinski Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Peters Hospital who help Patricia find her final eternal peace.
