We lost our guitar picking, yodeling, singing cowboy on Saturday July 8, 2023. Leaving his beloved wife of 63 years Pat (Archer). Beloved father of Marlene (Gary Nobrega) and Jeffrey. Forever remembered by his grandchildren Shelby and Ryan. Burt was born and grew up on a farm near Poltimore, Qc. To Ruby Hewson and Errol Raven. Dear brother of Beulah (Fred Mallon), June (John Cushing) Norma (Gerry Cheslock) Ruth (Jack Vallieres), Gloria (Doug Brown), Diane (Terry Whitely) and the late Douglas (late Rejeanne Charron), Floyd (late Lorraine Lemieux) Aletha (late Stephen Maloney) and Shirley (late Edward Petit). Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Burt spent his work life in the heating and air conditioning field with Texaco and Esso as manager of customer services. He had a great sense of humour and was a real joker. His pastimes were fishing, hunting, golfing, his dogs and most importantly his family. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Burt’s life at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. from 1-4 pm on Saturday August 12. In lieu of flowers donations made to the the Ottawa Humane Society, 245 West Hunt Club, Ottawa, ON K2E 1A6 or the Canadian Guide Dogs, 4120 Rideau Valley Dr. North, Manotick, ON K4M 1A3 would be appreciated.
