Obituary of Anthony Boot
It is with hearts full of fond memories and great sadness that we share the passing of Anthony. He was the much-loved son of the late Molly and Malcolm Boot, brother of Chris Boot (Gena Bronson-Boot), Lisa McKercher (Mark), and Melanie Boot. Loved Uncle to Jordan Barr (Ella Grypma), Rachel Barr (Ronald Lunyk), Holly Ulatowski (Dan), Jeremy Boot (Cailea), Christina Kerynn (Steve Cleverly), LeeAnne McKercher (Nunzio Lerose), Lisa Burk (Rob Burk), and many great nieces and nephews.
Anthony was an avid and professional photographer for many years. His passion for collecting Hot Wheels, Albums, and music memorabilia kept him busy. For many years he wrote record reviews for the Kingston Whig-Standard. Anthony loved jet skiing and being in the 1000 islands, he was known for driving fast and being a bachelor proud of his home and gardens. For 37 years he was a familiar face and dedicated employee of Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH), and he will be missed by his many colleagues and friends.
The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors, PCAs, porters, and housekeeping staff on the cardiac floor at KGH for their compassion and the outstanding care they provided Anthony.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd. Kingston) from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please enter from the doors at the back of the building.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Joe Chithalen Memorial Musical Instrument Lending Library in Anthony’s memory.
