Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Glady’s Parks, which occurred at her home on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born 1943, in Petitcodiac, NB, she is the daughter of the late Anna (Hayward) Jeffries and the step-daughter of the late Bill Jeffries. Gladys worked at Turnbull Nursing Home as a laundry supervisor for many years before retiring in 2009. She loved animals, she enjoyed going to the beach and having a good political debate. Gladys took in foster children and family was most important to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Gladys is survived by her daughters Joanne Parks of Quispamsis, Arletta Profit (Sean Frizzell) of Saskatchewan; sister Linda Day (Billy) of Nova Scotia; grandchildren Christopher, Joleene and Paul; great grandchildren Simon, Kaeleigh, Liam, Leo, Juniper and Sam; special niece Shawnie Trecartin; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her mother and step-father, Gladys was predeceased by her husband Keith, daughter Roxanne and son Kenneth.
A big thank you to Extra Mural for your graciousness, care and compassion given to our mother. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Gladys’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Gladys may be made to Romero House, SPCA-Animal Rescue, The Canadian Diabetes Association or CNIB.
