Obituary
It is with broken hearts that the family of Florence Emma Duffield announces her peaceful passing at the Loch Lomond Villa on July 2, 2023. She is reunited with her beloved husband Gregory Duffield, who predeceased her in April of this year. Born on June 13, 1951, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Jennie (McKinney) Buckley.
Florence loved to take photos and travel, especially on bus trips. She also enjoyed crafting including scrapbooking and knitting. Faith was a constant for Florence, and she was heavily involved with the Germain Street Baptist Church until it closed. There, she sang in the church choir and was also employed as the janitor. Florence also sold Avon for over 25 years, where she made many friends and had fond memories of her President’s Club trips.
Florence is survived by her sons Chris (Jessica) Duffield, Dale Duffield (Angela), and Tommy (Patricia) Duffield; and grandchildren: Danika, Kaylee, Cody, Natalie, Deanna, and Parker. She is predeceased by her husband and parents.
The Duffield family would like to thank the staff of Evergreen House at Loch Lomond Villa for their compassionate care.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. A Funeral Service will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated by family.
