1955-2023
The passing of Connie Agnes (Leslie) Holmes, wife of Brian S.
Holmes of St. George NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital,
Saint John NB on July 1, 2023. Born in St. Stephen NB on March 31,
1955, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Alvena (Boudreau)
Leslie. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to
her husband Brian, Connie is survived by her children: Leslie
(Francois) Gadoury of Ottawa ON and William (Taran-Lee) Holmes of
Fredericton NB; grandchildren: Kate, Phillipe, Sara, Josie, Owen and
Emmett; siblings: David (Caroline) Leslie of Alberta, Sandra Theriault
(Harold Mitchell) of Back Bay NB and Kevin (Beverly) Leslie of
L’Etang NB; and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many
friends.
Connie had a heart of gold, a wonderful sense of humor and
was able to light up the room when she entered. She enjoyed spending
her time with family and friends and loved keeping active. Whether it
was curling, golf, Zumba or traveling with Brian, Connie truly loved
to be on the go. She was a long-time member of the St. George Curling
Club where she made countless friends and shared just as many laughs.
To know Connie was a gift and she will be missed dearly by all who
knew her.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral
home with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will
be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2:00 pm with Rev.
Gordon Cooke officiating followed by the interment in the St. George
Rural Cemetery. In Connie’s memory, donations to Charlotte
County Cancer would be appreciated by the family.
