It is with great sorrow that the family announces Bob’s passing on Thursday June 22, 2023, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 89 years. Loving husband of 69 years to the late Elva Jones (nee Gold). Loving father of Debbie Lanthier (Jim), Cathie Jones (Bill Stewart) and Jimmie Jones (France). Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Veronica, Amanda, Jennifer, and great-grandfather to 5 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Marlene Burton, whom he referred to as his “little sister”. Bob is predeceased by his parents Edward and Sabrina Jones and by his brother Douglas Jones. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation and no funeral service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home.
