On Monday, June 26th, 2023, our dear Mom, Oma, Great Oma, Christine Cornelia Maria (Biemans) VandenBiggelaar, passed away peacefully, at Caressant Care, Woodstock, at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harry Paul VandenBiggelaar (2013). Together they came to Canada in 1952, were successful tobacco farmers for almost 40 years. Proud and loving Mother of Joanne and Dan Barry; MaryAnn and John Verbeem; Harriet and Mike Berenz and Harry VandenBiggelaar Jr. (Sandy). Proud and loving Oma of Stephanie (Julien), Christopher, Nicole (Cole), Scott (Alicya), Lyndsey (Rhys), Pamela (Tim), Gary (Katie) and a loved Great-Oma of Lauren, Jack, Declan, Rilyn, Kalen, Kolten, Olivia, and Sydney. Predeceased by her loving brothers and sisters from Holland. Christine was also a member of St. Mary’s CWL.
Friends, neighbours, and relatives will be received by the family on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, from 3:00 to 6:00pm in the Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway St., Tillsonburg. All are invited to attend a St. Mary’s C.W.L. Prayer Service, to be held on Monday, at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Parish, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg on July 4th, at 11:00am. Interment follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
