Obituary of Kenneth John Janovicek B.S.M.S.
Kenneth John Janovicek B.S.M.S., a resident of Guelph and formerly of Dresden, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2023 at GRH-KW Campus at the age of 57. Born in Chatham, the son of John Janovicek (Rosaland) and late Susan (Slavik) Janovicek. Loving brother of Nancy Janovicek (Martin) and Dennis Janovicek (Jenny). Dear step-brother of Michael Hanov and Lorraine Hanov (Andre). Cherished uncle of Jewelya and Olivia. Fondly remembered by the Smordin Family: Jay & Carol, Aaron & Clarissa and Breann & Andrew. Loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and colleagues. Ken could not fulfill his dreams of farming with his family so he went on to complete his Masters from the University of Guelph. That is where he spent the last three decades as a Plant Research Assistant. In his spare time he enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, sitting out back on a warm sunny day with his floppy hat and a cold Alexander Keith’s and being kept up-to-date on the happenings of the family farm. The Janovicek family will receive family and friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Tuesday from 1:00-3:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to CNIB or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of Grand River Hospital for all their care and support given to Ken. The family would also like to thank the staff and Doctors at Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton. Online donations and condolences may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com
