CANAL, Marilyn Anne (nee Lutz) – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday June 21, 2023 at the age of 67. Beloved wife of 48 years to Bruno. Cherished mother of Amanda (Ryan) McKay, Katie (Paul) Formica and loving grandmother of Darren, Philip. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Cathy (Don) Jones, mother-in-law Luigia Canal, brothers-in-law Jim Ives, John (Kathryn) Canal, sister-in-law Phyllis (Joe) Mitchell, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Pearl (nee Jervis) Lutz, brother Bob Lutz, sisters Carolyn (the late Bob) Potter and Janice Ives. Marilyn loved music – especially Rod Stewart, tending to her flower gardens, had a heart of gold and was always a beacon of kindness to others. Thank you to the staff of GNGH, especially Nicole in the Palliative Care Unit, for their care and compassion during her last days. Cremation has taken place.
