Obituary of Ida (Johnstone) Quesnell Funeral Service
Her Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ida (Johnstone) Quesnel, 81, of Montreal, Quebec formerly of Picken Street, Westville, Nova Scotia on March 30, 2023.
Born in New Glasgow on October 3, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Beatrice (Garneau) Johnstone.
Survived by her daughter Mona Quesnel, her sons Marc Quesnel (Brigitte Petrin, deceased), Martin Quesnel (Joanna Santori), and Norman Quesnel, and her beloved grandchildren, Jade Petrin-Quesnel and Adam Quesnel.
She will be missed by her sisters, Jane Bond, Walkerville, Beatrice Weaver, Halifax, brothers, Fraser Johnstone (Leslie), Westville and Paul Johnstone, Linacy.
Predeceased by her husband of 59 years Jean Quesnel, her sisters Brenda Emilio, Cameal Carlyle, Wanda Morris, Theresa Butler, Caroline Atwater, Pennual “Penny” Duggan, brothers Peter “Sonny” Johnstone, and Norman Johnstone.
Ida enjoyed the company of many friends and extended family.
Her Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville. Interment will be in the Aburn Cemetery.
