MAHONEY, Lorna Lew Ann (McLain) May 29, 1954 – June 17, 2023)
Passed away, suddenly but peacefully, at the home of her nephew, Lorna Lew Ann (nee McLean) Mahoney, a resident of Courtland, at the age of 69 years. Born in Dunnville, daughter of the late Harvey Ecker and the late former Myrtle (Millen) Ecker. Lorna formerly worked at Zehrs, Tillsonburg and was a seasonal tobacco worker. Lorna is predeceased by her husband Robert Mahoney (2023). Loved sister of Larry (Linda) Millen, of Cultus; and Lloyd Millen (Doreen Lucas), of Owen Sound; Lanna (Will Mabee), of Port Rowan; Linda Robinson, of Tillsonburg (late husband Jim Robinson); Roy Zimmer, of Courtland (late wife Lois Zimmer). Survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her first husband Thomas McLean.
A private family viewing was held place in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, Tillsonburg, then cremation followed. In the future, a public graveside service will be announced in the family plot of Cultus United Church, conducted by Pastor Ted Smith, of Cultus United Church. Friends, neighbours, and relatives may contribute memorial donations to “Cultus United Church” (by cheque) or to the “Canadian Cancer Society” via Lorna’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com, where you can also send flowers, contribute letters of condolences and share favourite memories.
