It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend Oksana-Maria Faith Daniels.
Born October 30, 2004, in High River, Alberta. Passed away June 14, 2023, at the age of 18 years.
Oksana (Wiyanoe) leaves to mourn her parents Brent Daniels and Martha (Ryan) Dixon. Siblings Brittany Daniels, Shenelle Dixon and a little brother. Grandparents Rex and Janice Daniels, Pamela and Tarrant Beaver. Uncles Skip (Glennis) Daniels, Elias (Miranda) Ear, Recein Beaver. Patrick, Roy Jr. Ear. Aunties Crystal (Wacey) Lefthand, Titana (Dennis) Powderface, Lacey (Reggie) Rider, Terrianna Daniels, Pamela, Ingrid, Nerissa, Aimee Ear, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, traditional uncles, aunts, grandparents, numerous friends, too many to mention. Extended families from the Daniels, Lefthand, Holloway, Ear, Dixon, Snow, Labelle, Hunter, Beaver, Poucette, Powderface, Rider, Crawler, Stephens and Kootenay families. We apologize if we missed anyone.
Predeceased by grandparents Roy Dixon, Bernice Ear, Uncle Miles Ear, aunt Janine Ear, cousins: Aleanna Ear, Jarvis Ear, Guy and Roland Daniels. Great grandparents Archie and Marie Daniels, Lawrence and Josephine Ear, McFarland and Martha Dixon and Alex & Leah Ear.
Wiyanoe loved horseback riding and hanging around with friends and cousins and was an aspiring artist. She also enjoyed experimenting with makeup, listening to music, dancing, and dressing up herself and her friends.
Wiyanoe received her education at the Chief Jacob Bearspaw Memorial School. She had many qualities; one thing that stood out the most was her forgiving nature and sense of humour. She loved her family on both sides and liked to spend time with her Dad and little sister Brittany. She would phone home quite often to talk to her Dad for long chats.
A prayer service will be held for Oksana on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 1:00pm at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, High River.
Wake services will be held at Rex & Janice’s, house 32A on Monday, June 19th and Tuesday, June 20th.
A funeral service for Oksana will be held Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Chief Jacob Bearspaw School Den in Eden Valley.
