It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Denise on June 12, 2023 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 86.
She is predeceased by her parents Emile and Yvette (Scantland) Gauthier and her brothers Emile Jr. and Ulysses (Alma) Gauthier.
She is survived by her much loved children, Dianne Potvin (John Brereton), Claire Valliant (Michael), Alain Potvin (Priscilla St-Jean), Luc Potvin (Phyllis St-James) and Kim Lefebvre (Wilbert Wesley). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Katherine Lindsay, Jacques (Nicole) and Michel Potvin, Roch and Simon Nadeau, as well as by her great-grandchildren, Kayla Potvin-Brereton and Jayce Potvin. She leaves behind her many nieces and nephews from the Gauthier, Potvin and Lefebvre families.
The family wishes to thank her family doctor, Dr Paul Armstrong and the Timmins and District Hospital nurses, physicians and staff, including the Hospice Unit for the extraordinary care and guidance they provided.
Respecting her wishes, cremation will take place. The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home, followed by a lunch at the Lessard-Stephens Reception centre. A private interment will take place at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
