It is with great sadness and sorrow that our family announces the peaceful passing of our, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Best Friend, Kenneth “Ken” Dopp, at his residence in New Hamburg.
Ken will be forever loved by his beloved wife Lynda (Thomas) Dopp, whom he cherished 50 years of marriage with. Devoted father of Charlie Dopp and wife Sophie Houle and Christa Saunders-Chiasson and husband Paul Chiasson. Proud and loving grandfather of Christopher Dopp, Amelia Saunders, Conrad and Maddie Chiasson. Ken will be missed deeply by his siblings; Judy Daub (Mike), Randy Dopp (Mary), Nancy Taylor (Bill), Marilyn Mueller (John), by his mother-in law Helen Thomas and by sister-in-law Carol Harvey (Butch) as well as by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his father and mother Vincent and Florence (Hahn) Dopp and by father-in-law Vernon Thomas.
Ken enjoyed spending his time with his family and enjoyed many trips to the trailer in Port Elgin. Often you would find Ken and his family enjoying the beautiful water with a fishing pole in hand. To Ken his family meant the entire world and he was so proud of his children and grandchildren.
At Ken’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and can be done through the funeral home.
