With heavy hearts, we would like to announce the passing of our dad Len Chase on Sunday, June 4th at the age of 86 at McKinney Place, Oliver B.C.
Len started at a young age working in the logging industry in the Okanagan and then moved his family to Clearwater, BC. He spent all his working years in the logging industry between the Okanagan, North Thompson, Bulkley Valley and Boundary areas.
Len had a passion for hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling in his earlier years. After he retired, he spent a lot of time camping and fishing with his cat, Harry. He even lost Harry in the bush while on one of his fishing trips up Highway 33 area. A few months later Harry was found and had his picture on the evening news looking for his owner. It did not take long for them to be reunited. Len also enjoyed reading non-fiction books.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Marshall (Ken Perry) and Barb Chase (Myron Johnson); son, Doug Chase (Donna Chase). Predeceased by sons, Russell, Webster and Wayne and daughter Joanie Smith. Predeceased by 11 sisters, 2 step-sisters and one brother. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
