Lena was predeceased by her dear sisters and their spouses, Catherine Morden (Lyle) and (Tom Bell) and Nancy Belanger (Tom). Mom and Dad are also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mom and Dad were married for over 68 years and what a ride it has been! Both mom and dad were employed for over 30 years with mom employed with the Niagara Catholic District School Board and dad at John Deere, Welland. Our parents led a full and active life enhanced by our large family and wide circle of friends. Many great times were had at the family home, always a reason for a party, whether it be a pool party, a card game, a sing along, many drinks, and always a pasta dinner for whoever stopped in on Sunday night. Mom’s sauce and meatballs were a fan favorite. We cannot forget all the wonderful times at Long Beach Resort. Our Dad loved the dirt bike and snowmobile excursions along with golfing, camping, fishing. Our parents loved dancing on Saturday nights, going to see the horse races whether going to Toronto or Fort Erie Racetrack.
Our family would like to extend special thanks to Royal Rose Place for their kind and compassionate care to both mom and dad. Sincerest gratitude to Auntie Dale Lauzon, Butch and Rachelle Morden, Tammy Holt-Cote for their unwavering love and support during this difficult time. The Lauzon family will receive family and friends at H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service following at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Jack and Lena Lauzon may be made to Alzheimer’s Society or Royal Rose Place.
