Surrounded by his loving family at the St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Friday, June 2, 2023. David Murray, of Brantford, in his 75th year. Beloved Husband of the late Helen (nee Vellenga-2019). Loving Father of Kim (Don) Roberts, Shawn (Kim) Murray, and stepfather to Tracy (Gerry) Grevers, and Lisa (Tim) Campbell. Cherished Papa of; Justin Murray, Ashley, Trevor & Jason Roberts, Terry, Brandon & Brooklyn Murray, Tyler, Meghan & Brayden Grevers, Mackenzie & Dylan Campbell. Great-Papa of Kaiden, Alayah, and Kyndan. Predeceased by his parents Donald & Margaret (Peggy) Murray and brother Donald. Survived by his sister Linda Murray. Dear son-in-law of Tettje (the late Willem) Vellenga and brother-in-law of Andy (Dale), Bob (Janet), Louie (Karol), William (Karen), Barb (Jerry) Wiersma, Carolyn Klein-Horsman (1995), and Gordon (Carol). Dave will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family, friends and especially his good friend Janet.
Dave began his career as a mechanic with Borgoff Motors in Scotland for 24 years. He then opened his own business, Brant Farm Supply, where he loved visiting, working with customers and serving the community for 24 years.
Family & friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. A private family service will be held.
