On May 29, 2023, Mr. Daniel “Big Dan” Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his 4 daughters & 4 sons, Sonya, Jacqueline, Corddel, Harley, Joanne (Devon) Sparklingeyes, Wayne (Sharlene), Adam (Shawnee) & Merle (Valerie); 45 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Esther, Nora, Gloria (Bob), Delores, Dennis “Baby Joe”, Muriel, Leonard, Colleen & Marilyn. Daniel was predeceased by his spouse, Linda; children, Bridgette, Twila, Louanna & Clinton; grandchildren, Shaun, Jhevon, Tommy & Brittany; parents, Stanley & Lena Cardinal; adopted parents, Thomas & Winnie Wahsatnow; brothers, Pipe, Rene, Albert, Kevin, Peter, Roland & Anthony. A Wake will be held on Sunday, June 4 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) & Monday, June 5 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with interment in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
