Kovacs, Ida – beloved wife, sister, mother and friend, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born in Dombóvár, Hungary and died in Georgetown, Ontario.
Ida was a devoted mother to Louis and the late Maria. Her family meant the world to her. She shared a special bond with her grandchildren Alex, Joseph (Isabella) and Nicole, and adored her great grandchildren Emma, Christian and Eliyanah. Dear sister-in-law of Baba Toth, Mary Ellen Kovacs, and aunt to Andy and Dodo Toth, Eddy Hild, Jason Kovacs, Kris (Melissa) Kovacs, and great aunt to Cameron, Jackson and Luca. Predeceased by her husband Joe, and by her siblings Lajos and Kati, and by her brother in law Ted.
Ida will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends both in Canada and in Australia.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Ida’s life will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown between 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. where her friends and loved ones will gather to pay tribute to her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to Forests Ontario 50 Million Tree Program in Ida’s memory.
