Peacefully at Hardy Terrace Longterm Care, Mt. Pleasant, on Friday May 12, 2023. Maria (nee Lopes), of Scotland in her 89th year. Beloved Wife of the late Vasco Almeida. Loving Mother of Joe (Teresa) and Luis (Liz). Dear Avó of Jason (Yuf), Amy (Nihar), Laura, Sarah and Olivia. Predeceased by brother Antonio Pereira da Silva (Angelina). Maria will be sadly missed by her many family and friends in Portugal and Canada.
Friends & family will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 181 King Street, Burford on Wednesday May 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford.
