Victor Joseph Boudreau
Born May 26, 1939 in Wedgeport to the late Michel and Evelina (Doucette) Boudreau. Victor was the youngest of 12 children.
Victor is survived by his wife, Anne Cardoza-Boudreau; his two sons, Michael and Derek; daughter-in-law, Colleen; grandson, Adrian. Also surviving is sister, Catherine (Eugene) Bourque; sister-in-law, Gen; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents and first wife, Sharon, he was predeceased by brothers, Julius, Wallace, Mike and Ted; sisters, Rita, Agnes, Margaret, Bernice, Rosabelle and Estelle.
Victor arrived in Ontario on his 16th birthday where he stayed for the next 50 years. It was in Ontario that Victor met and married Sharon McCandless. Her brother Lorne and sister-in-law Judy have remained a big part of Victor’s life. Sadly, brother-in-law Ron predeceased Victor.
Victor loved playing cards, but his true passion was exploring new places, resulting in many excursions, especially cruises.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Wedgeport. Part of Victor’s remains will be buried next to his mother, Evelina, in the Wedgeport Cemetery. A second interment will take place in Whitby, Ontario, alongside his wife, Sharon.
Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023 with prayers at 7 p.m. in Wedgeport. A funeral mass to honor Victor’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiating.
It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Victor’s memory may be made to the VON, Home Care or Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
